About Our Research
Prior research has demonstrated the power of irritability in predicting early childhood mental health challenges. Our novel risk calculator, the DECIDE tool, generates a personalized risk score that considers both risks and assets to identify risk for common early onsetting psychopathologies.
Our four projects aim to address early mental health risk through the development of an integrated system of care letting clinician, caregiver, and health system feedback guide the development of our tools and interventions.
Our Innovative Design: ROIO
We use novel implementation science methods for continued refinement of our research processes, so we remain responsive to our community member's needs (caregivers, clinicians, clinical site partners). We are using a Roll Out Implementation Optimization (ROIO) Design which allows for three sequential implementation clusters of clinics, with process pause to collect and analyse mixed methods data. This allows us to refine our implementation strategies.
